The Hebrew word for repentance means to restore, renew or come home to where you are loved and whole.
All, total, complete.
We often try to change the situation, the outside, God makes us holy by making us complete.
The Hebrew word for heart means the core, it is not just emotions but the core emotions, the core thoughts, the core of who we are.
There is a great Hebrew word that describes love from a whole heart.
כָּלֵב
Caleb means dog in Hebrew. Caleb had a spirit that followed God fully. Numbers 14:24
The word כָּלֵב kelev or dog in Hebrew starts with
kol כּל
which means all, whole, total
and then adds
לֵב lev
or heart.
A dog is "all heart."
Is there a better description for a dog?
Is there a better way for us to love God and others?
